Sheriff Eddie Mixon that the air conditioning units from churches in our area are once again being stolen. Our units have a device on them that will trigger an alarm but our alarm system must stay on at all times when the buildings are unoccupied. PLEASE, PLEASE do not leave the alarm system off for any reason. Thanks.
A Word from the
Pastor on Temptation:
Doing the right thing in every
situation is not easy, unless you realize a great truth.
Let me illustrate that truth with a story.
A young lad, in a small village, was working in a general store when a man entered and ordered some cloth. The customer noticed that the owner of the business wasn't there. So, the customer suggested the boy cheat a little and give him an extra yard or two. "It'll be all right, son," the customer said. "No one will ever know about it. Your master isn't in."
Looking somewhat stunned, the young clerk quickly replied, "Oh, but you're mistaken, sir. My Master is always in! You see, I'm a Christian."
The young Christian was conscious of the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. All Christians should live with the awareness that the Master is always in - our behavior and attitude ought to reveal that in every situation!
